How to use this sheet
- Have real objects beside the sheet, such as a can, a box, a ball and a party hat.
- For faces, edges and vertices, have the child mark each one on the drawing as they count.
- For views, build the stack with blocks and look from the front, the side and the top.
Common mistakes
- Calling a cube a square, or a sphere a circle. Flat shapes are drawn; solid shapes can be held.
- Missing the faces, edges and corners at the back that the drawing hides. Use a real object to check.
- Mixing up a cone and a pyramid. A cone has a curved surface and a circle base.
