How to use this sheet
- Have the child cross off each value in the data list as they plot it, so none is missed.
- For fractions, have the child count the spaces between whole numbers first.
- For totals, have the child multiply each value by the number of X marks above it.
Common mistakes
- Counting the X marks as the total, when the question asks for the total length or weight.
- Putting an X in the wrong place on a fraction line, as with 3/8 and 3/4.
- Leaving a value out because it appears more than once in the list.
