How to use this sheet
- Act out a few questions with a real spinner, coins or a bag of cubes before the sheet.
- Have the child explain each answer: "It is unlikely because there is only one red."
- For experiments, have the child predict first, then compare the prediction with the results.
Common mistakes
- Thinking a result that has not happened for a while is "due". Each coin flip is new.
- Mixing up impossible and unlikely. Impossible means it can never happen.
- Writing a probability greater than 1. A probability is between 0 and 1.
