How to use this sheet
- Have the child check the parts add to the whole: 100%, or 360 degrees.
- For each part, have the child estimate from the picture first: is it about a quarter, a half?
- Use the total to find the amount for each part.
Common mistakes
- Reading a percent as the number of people. Multiply the percent by the total.
- Making a circle graph where the parts add to more than 100%.
- Mixing up the degrees of a part and its percent.
