How to use this sheet
- Have the child find today’s date on the calendar first, then answer questions from there.
- Say the days of the week and months in order together before the sheet.
- For "how many days until", have the child count the jumps from day to day, not the boxes.
Common mistakes
- Counting today when finding the number of days until a date. Start counting from tomorrow.
- Reading a date from the wrong row of the calendar. Run a finger across from the day name.
- Thinking every month has 30 days. Use the knuckle trick or a rhyme to remember the long and short months.
