How to add, edit, and organize steps in your guide.
Creating a new step
Click the “Add Step” button at the bottom of your step list. A new step will be created and selected for editing.
New steps are added at the end of your guide by default. You can reorder them after creation.
Editing step content
Click on any step to select it. The editor panel will show:
- Title — The step heading (keep it short and action-oriented)
- Description — The main content with rich text formatting
- Image — Optional visual content
Make your changes and they’ll save automatically.
Step best practices
Keep titles actionable
Good: “Click the Save button” Not as good: “Saving”
Be concise in descriptions
Aim for 1-3 sentences per step. If you need more, consider splitting into multiple steps.
Use consistent formatting
Pick a style and stick with it throughout your guide.
Deleting steps
Click the trash icon on any step to delete it. You’ll be asked to confirm before the step is permanently removed.
Warning
Deleted steps cannot be recovered. Make sure you want to remove a step before confirming.
